|Dec. 22, 2016 -- Tibet Autonomous Region will establish a protection system for rural left-behind children to improve care and protection for them and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.
Statisticsshowthereare7,412 left-behind children under16 in Tibet.
Village committees, social organizations, volunteers and other groups should play an active role in solving difficulties and problems encountered by rural left-behind children, according to Opinions on Strengthening Protection for Rural Left-behind Children issued by Tibet government.
In addition, efforts will be stepped up to strengthen family protection, health care, education, judicial protection, etc.
