Sept. 6, 2016 -- A children charity library was inaugurated at Pumajiangtang County, in Tibet's Shannan city on Sept.1.

Purangjiangtang County with an average elevation of 5,500 meters is the highest county in China.

Limited by natural and geological conditions, the county’s elementary school has fairly poor teaching conditions.

The library, as part of the “Charity Tibet Move” project launched by the China Charity Federation’s “I Do” fund together with some celebrities, aims to provide better learning conditions for children there.

With thousands of new books, the whole library is divided into a book area and a reading area.

“In the past, we didn't have a lot of books to read. Now after class, we can come to the library. I love reading and I want to learn more from reading,” said a 12-year-old girl at the county elementary school.

A music room named after Chinese pianist Li Yundi was also established. “I will get more involved in Tibet’s music education cause in the future,” said Li.
